2021.10.26 01:23 civicsquid Capitol Hill/UVillage live music
I'm looking for live music spots that I can go to a couple of times a month. I found some places and one that seemed to match what I was looking for was Barboza (I know about Neumos but they seem to be a bit more intense acts).
Any other smaller-scale venues in these neighborhoods that people would recommend?

2021.10.26 01:23 Shoop-Delawoop October 2021 Supply Chain Forecast: Help Me Help You
| Obligatory disclaimer: not only is this not financial advice, but it might be entirely useless. The only reason I'm sharing this is because other people might be able to use it to make money or at least not lose as much, because God knows I sure haven't been able to turn it into any money. My area of expertise is Supply Chain, and I get paid to make other people money by analyzing data, so either you're welcome or I'm sorry.|
Most of this information is pulled from the September 2021 LMI Report, although not directly. If you want to report my unauthorized use of the information in the report, then you and Dr. Rogers can both suck my ass.
Most of this report is useless horseshit, especially since we all know supply chains are fucked and Christmas is cancelled. What caught my eye was this sentence: "It will be fascinating to see if this growth will continue to increase in the fourth quarter... [emphasis mine]" When academic analysts use words like "fascinating," there's probably something important and awful about to happen. The growth he's referring to is the expansion of logistics overall, but a few of the metrics are more important than others, especially for people wanting to make money. For example...
Upstream vs Downstream To the surprise of no one, downstream firms are getting screwed harder than upstream firms. I don't feel the need to explain why because it's obvious and also fuck you. Here's a graph:
Orange = uh oh
And here's a table:
This used a t-test for significance. If you know what that means, you shouldn't be taking my advice.
All those metrics are cool and fun, but here's what we should focus on first: Transportation Prices, Warehousing Prices, and Inventory Costs. All of these are over 85% for both, and Transportation Prices in particular are shooting way up (as an example, the cost for my company to rent a single semi trailer for outbound shipping is nearly double the "standard" rate). The relationship of these rising costs and rising inflation is tautological, so they should form a nice little death spiral unless Yellen changes that. Place your bets accordingly.
In that table, a "Yes" on the bottom row indicates significant difference between the growth (or shrinkage for values below 50%) between upstream and downstream firms. Once again, Transportation Prices are increasing way faster for downstream firms, and transportation capacity is decreasing much faster for downstream firms. Many firms I am aware of currently have no problem forking over the cash for higher rates and slower service when it comes to transportation, but it's anyone's guess how long before one or both of those factors hits a breaking point where either the firms cannot afford the prices, or the transportation is simply no longer available. Again, the seems like actionable financial information for someone who knows what they're doing, i.e. not me.
Again, I'm simply translating this report into what I suspect are actionable items, so if you want more (useless) breakdown regarding this data, see the report link above and/or check out your weekly Robinhood Snacks newsletter. Or sniff glue.
Worker-Dependent Inventory Hell yeah, time for some information not sourced from the report, i.e. anecdotal evidence, i.e. you can trust me, I swear. First, another graph to make everything seem more legitimate:
Wow, look at that! A bar graph AND a line graph! Fun fact: that trendline is never explained on any of the graphs in the report.
In addition, here is a nice article that you won't read because I didn't either, but when I glanced over it it had some good information in between all the quotes from assholes who have nothing better to do than talk to reporters who shouldn't have jobs for news organizations that shouldn't exist.
Let's try a fun experiment: I'll look at four random publicly-traded companies and average their YTD turnover rate for their warehousing facilities. The answer is 92%. The good news is, the shorter the timespan you aggregate overs (QTD, MTD, hell, even WTD), the better the turnover rate gets across the board. Which means that contrary to what you've probably heard, the effect of the labor shortage on supply chains is expected to decrease. People are holding jobs longer than they have been for a year now, and once they cross the 30 day mark, the retention rate shoots up. In other words, don't bet on a continually expanding labor shortage, at least not for too much longer, and definitely not in this field.
That graph above isn't actually irrelevant; what it shows is that warehouse capacity is decreasing more slowly. That's good news, and according to Dr. Rogers, that metric includes the effect of labor, and while he also says the slower rate might be due to reaching the lower limit of capacity, predictions are improving. He's got a Ph.D., and I've got an above-average cock, so you can trust us.
Conclusion I don't want to squeeze anymore out of this publicly-available report that is about three weeks old by now, but what I'm hoping is that you might get some use out of this as an informer of the future of all of these companies whose performance is being affected by the Great Supply Chain Debauchery or whatever the fuck. I know that a company's performance is one of many factors influencing it's price and thus your grubby little options, but since this is the stuff I know more about, I'm hoping to hear how you (and subsequently I) can turn this information into gain porn.
I'm throwing this together pretty quickly since the next report should drop in about a week or two, and I'd like to add some more info to this sort of thing if it would be helpful to some retards. At the very least, you can pretend to know about the companies you're posting YOLOs of.
TL;DR: suck my cock, I've seen the shitty DDs you shitheads make it through. Put on your bike helmet and look at the graphs.

2021.10.26 01:23 No_Meet7325 I’m (M19) dating this girl (F19) or I don’t know I need some advice
Hi well, I’ve been talking to this girl for a couple of months now and like 3 weeks ago I talked to her and she told me that she didn’t want any relationship for the moment, and I was ok with that, It was a hard next week for me I was really sad and it was even more hard because we didn’t stop talking. The messages were like tik toks or just dumb things nothing amazing aaaand suddenly the conversation started again and it was like the old weeks, it was really fun i was really happy, and the Wednesday from 2 weeks ago was the beeest day ever she sent me a lot of voice chats like 3 minutes long, the chat was amazing and the most important thing is that she even invited me to a Halloween party and suggested wearing a couple dress or something like that of course dumb me said yes and the chat kept been amazing. Everything has been amazing but again I feel some doubts like she is interested but she doesn’t know what she wants and I don’t know how to approach this to her without been weird or making her uncomfortable, like she’s a great girl I really like her, but I don’t if it is reciprocal or what because last night I talk to her on the phone we talk like 2 hours or even a little more, it was a good talk ,a fun one but today she didn’t text at all nothing pure silence from her sooo I don’t know I really don’t know what to do with this relationship, I been thinking if I should move on and let her go or really try my best and maybe something can happen or someone specially me is going to get hurt. Thank you for reading :)
Btw I’m sorry If I have gramatical or orthographic mistakes I’m not really fluent, and if you can correct me I would be really thankful :)

2021.10.26 01:23 wongkarwais I’m (maybe) sending a risky email
An old friend I went on a date with. Afterwards, neither of us spoke about what happened and I ended up meeting someone else. However, despite acting the same, seems like we both ignored what happened. So this email hashes it out… nothing accusatory but just so we can remain friends. It’s still in my drafts lol not sure if I should send it
